[. . . ] Casa Nova Owner's Manual Addendum Dual PLL/Message ON-OFF With some source devices, notably satellite receivers, the output frequency can drift and thereby not always allow the Casa Nova to lock onto this signal. [. . . ] In some cases the source device's sampling frequency can vary from the standard frequency. The Casa Nova's crystal-based PLL is unable to track large variances due to its extremely high quality design. A wider PLL can accommodate a grossly off-frequency source that is received by the Casa Nova and still lock on and process it. Narrow is the default and best sounding and should be used at all times except when it is necessary to use WIDE.
